What is Traumeel?

Traumeel injections are a highly sought after natural, homeopathic treatment for conditions that cause pain and inflammation.
The body’s immune system begins it’s respnse to injury with inflammation. The swelling and warmth is caused by an increased blood flow to the area. The body does this to transport immune response cells to the infection or injury to begin the healing process. Our bodies, however, can over react developing excess heat and swelling that can last long enough to reverse any helpful effects. Traummel is an agent found in nature that not only reduces swelling, but balances it to promote it’s healing benefits.
Traumeel is a botanical extract that was largely unrecognized as an injection type of remedy in the U.S. for over 80 years. It is primarily composed of arnica montana root, a plant extract that is commonly found in tablets and creams to relieve pain and inflammation.
What can it be used for?
Traumeel injections treat a variety of musculoskeletal inflammation based conditions.
Soft tissue injuries respond best to treatment and include muscles, ligaments and tendon injuries and overuse syndromes.

Traumeel vs Corticosteriods
Traumeel injections are homeopathic based , which mean the medicinal agent is completely derived from minerals found in nature. Because the solution is mostly plant based, there are little to no side effects. The absence of side effects makes Traumeel an anti-inflammatory treatment that can be used as often as necessary.
Corticosteroids, although safe when regulated by a physician, can target soft tissue cells causing them to shrink if exposed to the medication over long periods of time. Because of this, they are rarely administered more than 3 times to an affected area. Systemic absorbtion has also been shown to weaken bones and therefore also requires limited use.
